Our school team won a bronze medal in the 12th ASDAN Simulated Business Competition National Finals
喜报又双叒叕来啦!OCIS学子再次成功“出圈”！阿思丹世界青年经济论坛WYEF，暨第十二届商业模拟挑战赛全国总决赛于2023年7月28日—7月31日在上海举行，我校共派出八名队员代表东方剑桥国际学校参加高中组比赛。本次高中组共有95个来自全国各地的代表队，我校最终以综合排名第十七名，获得铜奖，也是唯一一支凭借自身实力获奖的东北地区代表队。祝贺学生们代表学校获此殊荣！
The good news is that once again the OCIS students have successfully "stood out" again! The WYEF of the Asdan World Youth Economic Forum and the National Finals of the 12th Business Simulation Challenge were held in Shanghai from July 28 to July 31, 2023. Our school sent eight team members to represent Oriental Cambridge International School in the high school devision, where there were a total of 95 representative teams from all over the country. Our school ultimately ranked 17th overall and won the bronze medal. It is also the only representative team in the Northeast region that won the award based on its own capacity. Congratulations to the students on behalf of the school for receiving this honor!
在五天的决赛时间里，国际学校学子们面临比区域赛更大的难度和挑战，他们与95支全国晋级的优秀队伍同场竞技，与1300多名来自全国的精英代表，共赴这场学术嘉年华，角逐年度最高奖项！在竞争如此激烈的形势下，OCIS的学子们依然取得了骄人成绩。可见，这份荣誉是多么的来之不易。
In the five day final, international students faced greater difficulty and challenges than regional competitions. They compete d with 95 excellent teams that advanced nationwide, and nearly 1300 elite representatives from across the country participate d in this academic carnival and compete d for the highest award of the year! In such a fiercely competitive situation, OCIS students still have achieved remarkable results. It can be seen that this honor is so hard won.
所有成绩的背后都是同学们日积月累的努力。商赛如同波诡云谲的生意战场，绝不是简单的“纸上谈兵”和“唇枪舌战”，他们拼学术知识，更拼内在定力、关键时刻的果敢、步步为营的谋算与互惠互利的合作。每个商赛选手都需要有“运筹于帷幄之中”的商业判断，还需要有“决胜于毫厘之间”的精细和缜密。
Behind all the achievements are the accumulated efforts of the students over time. The business competition is like a treacherous business battlefield, not just armchair strategies and idle theorizing. They strive for academic knowledge, but also for inner determination, decisive decision-making at critical moments, step-by-step planning, and mutually beneficial cooperation. Every business contestant needs to have a business judgment of "planning within strategy", as well as the precision and meticulousness of "winning within a millimeter".
在全英文的比赛环境下，同学们群策群力，每个人的潜能都被充分的激发，独立完成、全情参与各个竞赛环节。赛前根据比赛要求设计出了自己公司LOGO、产品以及宣传资料。比赛期间，同学们在短时间内出色完成了公司模拟运营、公司路演、交易大赛、拍卖大会、股票交易，特别挑战等各种比赛环节。
In an all English competition environment, students work together to fully unleash their potential, independently completing and fully participating in various competition stages. Before the competition, they designed the company logo, products, and promotional materials according to the requirements. During the competition, the students, in limited time frames, excelled in completing various stages such as simulation operations, compaigning, tradings, auctions, stock exchange, and special challenges.

比赛过程中他们品尝过成功的喜悦，也经历过失利的痛苦。但在公平竞争的氛围下，充分发掘了同学们的领导力、团队协作能力、语言表达能力、市场分析能力和学习实践能力，为未来成长为商学精英和经济领袖迈出了第一步。
During the competition, they tasted the joy of success and also experienced the pain of defeat. But in an atmosphere of fair competition, they fully explored the leadership, teamwork, language expression, market analysis and business operations, taking the first step towards growing into business elites and economic leaders in the future.
只有实战才是最好的锻炼与自我提高，OCIS始终坚信好的教育是将理论与实践相结合。同学们在商赛等多样化的实践中充分应用了商科课堂所学的知识，对相关知识进行了深入性的思考，并达到了学以致用的学习目标，让知识不再浮于表面，而是通过实践将其化为更坚实的基础。
Only practical experience is the best exercise and self-improvement, and OCIS always believes that good education combines theory with practice. The students have fully applied the knowledge learned from the business classes in diverse practices such as business competitions. They conducted in-depth thinking on relevant knowledge, and achieved the learning goal of applying what has been learned, making knowledge no longer superficial, but a more solid foundation through practice.

Reading ten thousand books is not as good as traveling ten thousand miles. This summer, OCIS students used their imagination, creativity, and execution to depict their grand business prospects!
