School Bilingual Math Olympiad
英文数学竞赛分学部展开，每个年级的学生们自行组成小组在周五集会上进行奥林匹克数学竞赛。测试的题目涵盖数字计算、思维逻辑、空间分析和日常拔高题目，选手们摩拳擦掌，赛场一度十分火热。
Students were arranged by their grades to take Math Olympiad during Friday Assemblies. The questions were well assorted among arithmetic, logical thinking, spatial analysis, and frequent math Olympiad problems. The site was never in scarce of tensions and excitements.

Me as a Math Teacher
OCIS小学部的孩子们在集会时间，上台为同学讲解奥数题目，他们认真专注的样子，俨然一个称职的小老师。
Primary students came on stage to explain Olympiad math problems to their classmates. They were serious and attentive, just like competent little teachers.

在3月14日第四个“国际数学日”这天，OCIS的同学们就自己动手制作美味的派，体会劳动快乐的同时，动手能力拉满！
On the fourth "International Math Day" of March 14th, OCIS students made delicious pizzas by themselves, tasting the joy of labor and gaining hands-on skills.

KITE DAY
中学部学生以小组形式选择一个几何形状设计并制作风筝，最后评选出几大奖项:最佳参与奖、最佳创意奖、最佳美术奖、最大和最小、3D特殊奖。
Secondary students teamed up to choose a geometric shape to make their own kites. Awards were given to: the Best Participation, the Best Creativ, the Best Art, the largest kite, and the smallest kite，Special Prize 3D Kite.

袋鼠国际竞赛辅导
Math Kangaroo
本月起，为了帮助OCIS的学生们备考袋鼠国际数学竞赛，数学组的老师们组织所有报考学生利用放学时间完成赛前培训。小学周一-周四，中学周二-周三，每天一小时的学习让学生们对迎战国际竞赛信心满满。
From the start of this month, to help OCIS students prepare for the International Math Kangaroo Competition, the Math Group offered all participants pre-competition training during school hours. Primary school Monday and Thursday, Secondary School Tuesday and Wednesday. With one hour of tutoring on each day, students gained full confidence coming up to the contest.

除了统一的学部活动，数学月主题教学还融入于日常的数学授课中，比如一年级英文数学课3D SHAPES，孩子们用糖块搭建房子，取名OCIS DREAM SCHOOL，寓意要在这里完成自己所有的梦想。
In addition to whole school activities, Math Month themed teaching was also integrated into daily math classes. For instance, 3D SHAPES was a G1 English math class where children build houses with sugar cubes. They named it OCIS DREAM SCHOOL, wishing to fulfill all their dreams here.

中学部学生们以小组为单位，从他们在课堂上学到的知识中选择一个单一的概念，制作一个“Ted Talk”风格的演示文稿，作为复习演示给全班同学。
Students in Secondary worked in groups to select a single concept from the knowledge they have learned in the classroom and create a "Ted Talk" style presentation for review and presentation to the entire class.
数学月活动从创意到设计再到活动，既有对数学知识的学习与运用，也有对数学这一学科的思考与表达，是一个完美的学习闭环。一系列活动不仅激发了孩子们的学习自驱力，让他们发出声音，表达自己，更将普通的数学元素结合于生活，激发创新与思考。
From creativity to design to applications, the Math Month activity includes both the learning and application of mathematical knowledge, as well as the thinking and expression of the subject of mathematics. It is a perfect learning loop. A series of activities not only stimulate children's learning initiative, allowing them to make utterance and express themselves, but also integrate ordinary mathematical elements into life, stimulating innovation and thinking.
数学让生活更精彩，数学月虽已过去，但希望我们的孩子在今后的学习中，会对数学更加热爱，永远怀揣一颗探索之心！
Mathematics makes life more exciting. Although the Month of Mathematics has passed, we hope that our children will love mathematics even more and always have a heart of exploration in their future studies!
